Analysis of packet-switched data in a new basic rate user-network interface of ISDN
We present here an exact method for analyzing the queueing behavior of packet-switched data in a new basic rate user-network interface of ISDN. The new interface of ISDN in this paper adopts statistical multiplexing for providing integrated voice and data services. In order to properly represent the arrival of multirate data service, this interface assumes that the data packet input process is ...
متن کاملPerformance Evaluation of a Modified Cyclic Banyan based ATM Switch for B-ISDN
This paper focuses on designing a Fast Packet ATM switch suitable for B-ISDN. It is a Banyan network using cyclic interconnection among switching elements of the same stage for deflection routing. The proposed routing is as simple as that of the generic Banyan network, and all the switching elements (SE’s) have a uniform structure. To design the proposed network and to develop its self-routing ...
متن کاملDesign and Bandwidth Allocation of Embedded ATM Networks using Genetic Algorithm
In this paper, genetic algorithm (GA) is proposed for the design of an optimization algorithm to achieve the bandwidth allocation of ATM network. In Broadband ISDN, the ATM is a highbandwidth; fast packet switching and multiplexing technique. Using ATM it can be flexibly reconfigure the network and reassign the bandwidth to meet the requirements of all types of services. By dynamically routing ...
متن کاملB-ISDN (Broadband Integrated Services Digital Network)
The subject of B-ISDN came into being in the late 1980s, together with the concept of Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM). ATM is closely tied to high-speed packet switching by means of specialized switches implemented in hardware. Due to its high speed and packet structure, ATM technology was considered attractive to unify voice, data, and video services. A unification of these services over the ...
متن کاملDesigninga Neuro-Sliding Mode Controller for Networked Control Systems with Packet Dropout
This paper addresses control design in networked control system by considering stochastic packet dropouts in the forward path of the control loop. The packet dropouts are modelled by mutually independent stochastic variables satisfying Bernoulli binary distribution. A sliding mode controller is utilized to overcome the adverse influences of stochastic packet dropouts in networked control system...
